Lead Pastor
EJ Rouse is the Planting Pastor of Bridge Pointe. EJ has a vision to see a thriving and healthy church in the Southeast Greensboro area that is making the connection between Jesus Christ and Man. Along with his family, wife Tiffany and two boys Jake and Cole, and several other families, they are looking to make a difference in the community. EJ leaves a church where he was on staff for five and half years to plant Bridge Pointe. This is his vision, this is his calling, and he can hardly wait to see what will happen. A Word from the Pastor Hello Community, My name is EJ and I am so excited about being apart of your community in the southeast part of Guilford Co. and the northeast part of Randolph Co. I have been dreaming about this new church in your area for years and now my dreams and vision comes true. I look forward to meeting many of you in the area and serving you as a community. Bridge Pointe is all about Christ and People. Many people want to make a connection somewhere. They want to belong and feel wanted. At Bridge Pointe we help make that connection for people to God. We want to see life changes in people, families, and our community. I believe if we could connect men to God, they will connect to their families, and those families will connect together in the community. My desire for your life is that you will give us a try. We meet each Sunday at 10am at Southeast Guilford High School. Please make plans to visit and do not histate to contact me at anytime for anything. |

Transition – what exactly does it mean? Is it just a kinder way to say “change?” Let’s face it, it’s never easy! We like the familiar, we like the comfortable. And to get right down to it, change is never easy! But at some point or another, it always becomes necessary. And this time of the year seems to bring the most transition – sending young children back to school, sending older children to college, getting back to work from various summer vacations, and then in today’s economic culture, even losing and hopefully finding new jobs. Whatever it may be in your life, know that we’re all experiencing it! And Bridge Pointe Church is no exception! For the past couple of months, Bridge Pointe has begun its transition and we’re moving forward – seeking and following God’s will! A couple of weeks ago, we moved from our meeting location in Climax, to the campus of Southeast Guilford High School. And I’m excited and looking forward to September 12 – the re-launch of Bridge Pointe Church! You see, as much as we don’t like change, the fact is, when we stay in the same place and do the same things, there is no change – there is no growth. And so we are transitioning into a new meeting space – and into a new phase of God’s will for His church! I can’t imagine a more exciting journey! Over the past couple of years, I have learned a lot about God’s plan and His will. Many times I thought I had it figured out…I had not! The fact is, despite our own wishes and desires, despite our understanding or not, His plan, His timing, is perfect. He has my life, your life, and even the life of Bridge Pointe mapped out. All we have to do is follow! The other day I was driving to a restaurant with my father-in-law and his GPS directed us to get to a restaurant by way of a gas station parking lot! Of course, there was a more direct path to take, but the fact of the matter was, it got us there. Sometimes it’s like that with our lives. Yes, there may be a more direct path, but God has a reason for the various roads we take. And in a way only He can, He even uses the bumps in the road to bring Him glory and grow us closer to Him! So here we are! God is opening a new map on which to take our journey. I’ll be honest, as exciting as it is for me, it is often equally scary. But it seems that God is calling us to be more faithful than ever before. He is waiting and desiring to entrust those at Bridge Pointe with more and more. The Bible tells us that “where much is given, much is required.” God certainly means that! God has given us at Bridge Pointe a huge community of people who are far from God, who need to be brought closer. He has given us a community of people who are hurting and hopeless and need the healing and hope that only comes from a relationship with Jesus. He has given us a building with 1,000 seats. Do you get that…one thousand seats!! I believe that it is His desire that each of those seats be filled! If He wanted us to have 100 people there each Sunday morning, I think He would have given us a building that accommodates 100 people. But he didn’t! He has given us 1,000 seats – and I know that He wants to fill each of them! So, will you stand with me? Will you say to God, “I don’t know what, how, or when, but I’m ready to be used…no matter what the call.”? I think God has given Bridge Pointe “much.” And now He is expecting us to step up with our “much.” Through this transition that Bridge Pointe is in the midst of, and maybe even in the midst of your own transition, I hope that you will be asking God “What is Your plan for me? What do You want me to do?” I challenge you, as I am challenging myself, to make yourself open to wherever God’s map leads you to go and do. Know that I am praying for each of you every day. I am grateful beyond words to be serving with the greatest church family ever! Loving you with the love and grace of the Cross… Your Pastor, EJ | |
